Thank you for a very successful campaign! Rugged & Tough is a brand new business therefore advertising is critical to ensure word gets around. However the cost in big publications is prohibitive, so having been introduced to The Hogsty End Handbook I thought it worth a go. Maria did a fab job with the advert for us and we ran the first month. As we knew, it takes a few to make it happen, so as expected, didn't get a rush through the doors on the first run. The second advert was tweaked a bit for the current summer season and we ran it again, both in The Hogsty End Handbook and Roundabout Here, All I can say is "WOW", our footfall increased by 33%. Hi Maria, just a quick ‘thank you’ for managing to squeeze Franklite into the July magazines. As you know, the decision to run a summer clearance sale was a last minute one and I am so glad we were just in time.
I am always amazed at the number of people who visit our factory shop actually clutching their copy of Roundabout Here or the Hogsty End and I can honestly say it is far more effective advertising than either of the local newspapers. I'm sure you will be pleased to know that within 2 days of you distributing the magazine I had 3 enquiries, all of which are now new customers. Subsequently I have had 2 further enquiries, one of which is now a customer with the other 'thinking about it'.

As I called on the customers, when prompted, each one delved into the kitchen drawer for their copy of Roundabout Here. This portrays the image that our mutual target views the handbook as 'keepable' and a continuing source of reference.

From a business point of view, the response already received (and not yet in my peak season) has justified the decision to advertise within Roundabout Here. Also, taking the 'centre spread' advertorial has proved highly worthwhile, the differing colour of the pages adds significant impact and the handbook naturally opens at these pages, almost forcing the article to be read.

You can be assured that I will continue to include Roundabout Here as a key part of my marketing strategy and look forward to reaping the rewards.

Thank you so much for persevering with us through most of the year when we were not advertising.

Eventually we agreed to a leaflet drop in the Middleton/Monkston area of Milton Keynes. The results have been astounding! We have had people in every day since the leaflets were distributed and most have purchased at least one item from our factory shop.

As we are tucked away in the corner of Winterhill, we need to advertise fairly regularly and normally place an advertisement in one of the local free papers. Although this method has worked for us, the response to this one leaflet drop has far outstripped anything we have previously tried with the possible exception of the advert on Horizon Radio, but the cost of that was 100 times greater - literally!

We will certainly be using Roundabout Here again in other areas, and would highly recommend other local businesses to give it a try. For very little outlay, they may be as pleasantly suprised as we were.
